The Faith Journey Called Jobsearch, a workshop for jobseekers, will be held on September 28, 2019.  This free event is open to the community and targets those who are unemployed, underemployed, nervously employed or planning to be better prepared for their next job transition.

Featuring Trust-Based Relational Intervention® methods, developed by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross from the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU, to help bring attachment and connection in families. 

This event is hosted by The Heights Church Woven Ministry. Woven supports and empowers adoptive and fostering families.

TBM Yellow Cap Training

The purpose of all TBM training is to equip volunteers to provide the appropriate assistance during a disaster response and be a channel of God's love by providing a “cup of cold water” in Jesus name. Yellow Cap Orientation is the prerequisite for all specialty training in the Disaster Relief ministry. This training is the basic disaster relief training course and is required of all volunteers.

Yellow Cap Training will be held at The Heights Church. Cost is $30 and includes a background check & ID badge. The age requirement is 18 years or older. To register, click here. Youth 16 and 17 years may attend the training and participate on call-outs with a chaperone. There is no charge for youth but registration is required.

Saturday, February 23 Specialty Training, 9:00 am - 12 pm (Choose one)

Electronic Support Unit - Prerequisite: Yellow Cap Training.  This training is an overview of the various aspects of the Electronic Charging/ Support Unit, (including recharging equipment and setup/ Wifi equipment/ Cell Signal amplification equipment/ Mobile Radio equipment and usage).  There is no cost for this training but registration is required. To register, click here.

Box Unit - Prerequisite: Yellow Cap Training.  The training provides an overview of the Box Unit ministry, deployment process, and box distribution techniques. Training Includes discussion on the history and need for this ministry, how and where we procure boxes. There is no cost for this training, but registration is required. To register, click here.

The Gathering

The Gathering of Men at The Heights Lunch Series will meet Thursday, April 19, from 11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m. in The Brick. This year’s series, titled "Brand New Man”, taught by Keith Lair, will explore how this idea of being a brand new man can actually happen in your every day life. Reservations are recommended.
